As an experienced food stylist, Sonja knows how to work with her creative team to plate mouthwatering beautiful food. She can put an experienced team of food photographers, art directors and stylists, together to ensure gorgeous content. As Food Editor on various titles, she briefed creatives to reach the bests results whether it is editorial stills, or commercial advertising.

Sonja is passionate about creating new combinations and flavours, yet is always driven to keep things simple. She understands time in the kitchen is sometimes limited, whether you have a busy life, with a family or work too hard. She can whip up effortless recipes that work. She spent years in London working with the major supermarkets, designing tempting dishes to market their new and unique products. As Food Editor, Sonja has collated gorgeous books and magazine content. Clients included M&S, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s Tesco and Asda. Recipes are tested for the everyday cook and beginner to enjoy.

As well as owning her own cafe, Sonja brings her 25 years of food miles into the kitchen, with her unique insight into global food trends, having lived and worked in 3 different continents. This allows her to understand, more intuitively, the quirky logistics of each individual kitchen. Menu creation is something she loves, working with hotels, deli’s, restaurants and concepts, helping clients stay on trend. Breakfast is Sonja’s favourite meal, she finds this the most neglected meal in a hotel when it’s often guests only meal during their stay. This involves creating new exciting menus, using current ingredients and cooking trends and assisting with staff training to onboard new menu’s, mindsets & techniques to keep customers engaged.
Being a private chef is Sonja’s favourite element of being a chef. Sourcing incredible ingredients, creating fresh, fabulous foods to suit her client’s needs and schedule is something she is passionate about. Sonja has years of experience cooking for VIP’s in England, Italy and South Africa, whether it’s for actors on a film shoot, families with busy schedules or wedding parties. One never quite knows who may walk through the door (Rainman being her ultimate surprise guest) and what you may need to cook next, it’s all part of the unique challenge. She blends into any kitchen or routine, creating wonderful dishes to feed the soul. She specialises in clean and healthy food, whether clients need vegan or preservative free, organic dishes, Sonja cooks up stunning feasts, whatever the dietary requirement.
